True love only exists in certain situations. Most of the time, when someone thinks of true love they are mislead to that outcome. For example, when a High School student claims to have met someone and believe that their attraction in true love but in actuality, it is just speculative thinking. True love is the type of attraction that would include taking your own life for theirs, but not when that opportunity happens. True love is something that happens after the fact. Post mortem is when those feelings happen. Before that it’s more of less a feeling of right or wrong that in unbelievably sugar-coated. When a relationship begins it is a choice to say, “Is this a good feeling or a bad feeling?” In the case of the video, the love is throughout their lives but is even more apparent to Fred after losing his wife. Love is as much a feeling as a character in a Disney film. There is not anyone in the world that knows what is love is or if it’s happening to them. This conclusion is due to the fact that love only exists when the couple is enjoying each other, and it is a choice to except that presence. Does love exist when a relationship can be aborted at any moment? Love is also something that people use to describe relationships. Normally someone says that the couple loves each other. Saying, “I love you” is just a sort of checking the box to say that the relationship exists.

Grendel and his mother are similar beings. The thing is that they have some glaring differences. Grendel was a strong practically invulnerable being that attacked with ferocity and strikes with fear. His mother, on the other hand, was much weaker than himself. When Grendel took handfuls of warriors, his mother only took a few. Grendel killed for revenge of his banishment under the earth while his mother was killing to revenge his son. Both lived at the bottom of a lake with many other earth dwelling monsters. Beowulf killed Grendel at the hall while he killed Grendel's mother at their home. Grendel's mother is not as ruthless and Grendel was but she still is disgusting and ferocious. Grendel used to live with his mother at the bottom of the huge lake but he moved to cave closer to his killing zone, therefore leaving his mother alone, only to return without an arm and to defeat. Grendel was a ferocious humanoid figure while his mother is described as a She-Wolf. She is more meticulous than that of Grendel, taking the more quality prizes instead of the more quantity. In the text, Grendel's Mother only takes one trophy from the Great Hall but that trophy is the king's , essentially right hand man. All in all, Grendel just wants to kill to revenge his family, while his mother thinks about who she kills more that what, and why. Schools prepare you for what you need now. Most try to prepare for the time of tomorrow but the drawback is that the administrators do not have a clue of what to teach or what is the knowledge of tomorrow. The future is an ever changing environment. Schools can prepare for tomorrow by offering a larger pool of classes covering a wide range of subjects, but then it is up to the student to prepare themselves for that new environment. I look forward to what the future brings. If the technologies coming out currently are amazing me, what about the tech of the future? I think that most people are scared of what the future can bring, most are stuck in a sort of time freeze where they like how it is now and don't want it to change. This idea of being stuck in a certain time period, I believe, if from a sense of comfort. These people are used to the current communities and how they work. People from an age where certain technologies did not exist are not adept to that environment so they don't want to move forward. When you open your mind to the possibilities of what the future holds, it can be incredible. Like the video said, computers are taking over the world, so learning how to code is not just an invaluable skill, but in trains you to think in different ways and solve problems accordingly. I want to be an engineer or a computer scientist when i graduate from college, if I don't think about what is to come, my job field leaves me in the dust so a level of thinking that could be described as "outside of the box" is something that I can not succeed without. Grendel-Grendel of the epic poem Beowulf is a demon/monster of the earth. He was banished there due to his actions of his father Cain (whom committed the first murder) which he was the last decedent of. Grendel is a being of violence and evil coming and "haunting" certain lands. In the spirit of revenge for his banishment, Grendel would come from the mist and while the warriors were sleeping after a party, he would kill them, take their bodies back to his lair, and eat them while rubbing their flesh on the walls. Grendel could be considered erratic in behavior. Beowulf-Beowulf withing the epic poem titled Beowulf was a hero of the lands. He is a hero with relatively greedy intentions. Beowulf crosses large masses of water after he hears word of the monster Grendel attacking and killing warriors. Beowulf was mainly motivated by personal gain and publication. If you wanted him to do something, you would have to give him something for him to do it. Beowulf could be seen as rude but he also has many heroic traits Comparison-Beowulf and Grendel are both trying to repay someone for something, Grendel is repaying God and the people with death and violence while Beowulf is repaying the king due to him preventing a war. Both characters are somewhat greedy in the ways that they do things, but both have what you could call heroic characteristics for their cause. The sense of evil shows its self in certain actions and objects. For something to be evil id does not have to be an animate object, for example you could call a video game evil, or a food evil if you thing that it is. On the contrary, on some occasions things pertain a false sense of being evil; going back to my video game example, that game could be evil because no matter how hard you try you can’t and won’t succeed, but in most circumstances, it’s just your own incompetence. Calling something evil is generally a term or phrase used to denounce something that you often don’t like. On rare occasions something could be genuinely evil. People state that Dr. Sheldon Cooper (Big Bang Theory) is evil due to his actions and the way he thinks and or does things. But I would like to bring up something. Is being evil uniform? Is what is evil to you, evil to me? Having or being evil comes and goes and is only determined by how someone perceives it. I do not believe in any aspects of the theory of fate because I believe in choice. How can everything you or someone does in their life be previously planned in some way? It’s a crazy thought to think that I was destined to write this blog post or you were destined to read it. It is so crazy that I think it is implausible and completely impossible feat to think of. How many different choices can fate choose? No one is limited in the amount of choices they can make. Planning a life is not like planning a story; you can’t just decide the plot, setting and theme of a life. There are many different aspects of life that can’t be planned. Can you plan a reaction, emotion, thought? The thing is, I believe that the choices you make can determine and change your fate. For example, if someone makes the choice to start smoking or drinking or become a sky-jumper, those choices change weather they will die by falling, lung cancer, or liver cancer, but these choices are not predetermined. A true hero is someone who goes above the call of duty in an exceptional way. A hero is not just someone who is nice and kind, but someone who repeatedly hold the door, cleans after other, and things of that nature. Heroes are, in my opinion, people that do little things everyday that most people would not do. These little tasks may go unnoticed but the heroes continue to do it. This scale of heroism could be expanded to a larger globe of influence. At this larger scale, small tasks are more noticeable and get recognized but they have the same weight at the smaller scale items. Something like a police officer pushing someone out of the way of an oncoming car, a soldier taking a bullet for a team member, or walking an elderly person across the street all involve the same attributes that a true hero has. A hero is not just someone who does something extremely impressive but someone who does the things that they want done for them. Heroes are kind and outgoing people of all social spheres of the world. Anyone can be a hero |
