. Within this past week, the main topic was Identity and the power that comes with that. Identity encompasses not solely where someone comes from but who that person actually is. Identity is like looking into a mirror and not seeing your reflection but seeing a conglomeration of what your passionate and what is meaningful to you. The power that comes with a persons identity is overwhelming and makes a collection of people unique gives us all identification. The bowl of fruit is not who we are but encompasses what we are and that is what identity is. I understood this weeks topics but it opened my eyes just to how much identity applies to our lives and how much power it has. When you look into a yearbook, or at a group photo and point out which one is yourself, why is that you? Who is "you", when looking into the future or the past? And why? These are some of the questions that I have thought of throughout the past week. It has really been thought provoking. During the week we did miltiple exercises to get these types of ideas to fruition; creating lists of words pertaining to power and identity and then questions. The difference between learning and school is stark and extremely contrasting. Learning asks for questions while schooling asks for answers. Learning shows a coherent and competent understanding of a subject and aids with achieving that goal. Link:australianmuseum.net.au/blogpost/museullaneous/what-is-identity
